Encryption in transit
All data transmitted between your browser and Gatera's servers is encrypted using TLS. Authentication codes and credentials never travel unprotected.
Secure credential storage
OTP secrets and authentication data are stored in an encrypted vault. Access is strictly controlled and scoped to your organization.
Access control
Role-based access ensures that team members only see the credentials they need. Administrators have full control over who can access what.
Secure infrastructure
Gatera runs on hardened cloud infrastructure within the European Economic Area. We apply the principle of least privilege across all internal systems.
Audit logging
Every login, access, and change is logged with timestamps and IP addresses. You have a full audit trail of activity across your organization.
Abuse and fraud prevention
We monitor for anomalous activity, unauthorized access attempts, and abuse patterns. Suspicious accounts are suspended immediately.
GDPR compliance and data protection
Gatera is operated by Gatera OÜ, an Estonian company subject to the laws of the European Union. We process personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Data is processed on infrastructure located within the European Economic Area or in jurisdictions that provide equivalent data protection safeguards. We do not sell personal data to third parties.
We retain personal data only as long as necessary to provide the service and meet our legal obligations. Inactive accounts may be deleted after extended periods of inactivity.
Responsible disclosure
If you discover a security vulnerability in Gatera, we ask that you report it to us privately so we can address it before any public disclosure. We take all reports seriously and will respond promptly.
